The dashcam consumes very little power in this mode and does not pose a risk to your battery. Thanks to the built-in voltage protection, the system automatically shuts off as soon as the battery level gets too low. This way, your car is always ready to start.

 

In practice, you can leave your car stationary for more than a week to even several weeks without having to worry. If you really leave your car unused for a longer period (for example during a vacation), you can always manually turn off the dashcam, but of course, that is not necessary.
